About the Index
newsletters.markets is an independent index of 204 financial newsletters, research desks and market-intelligence services, across 53 topics. Every entry is described by five structured attributes: type (analysis, trading or mixed), asset class, niche, price and birth date.
How entries are compiled and scored
Listings are compiled from publicly available sources: publishers' own pricing and about pages, public archives, and observable publication history. Each entry receives a 0 to 100 Research Authority Score weighted across primary-source rigour (35%), differentiated niche edge (25%), track record and vintage (15%), institutional adoption (15%) and transparency and independence (10%).
The full framework, including the score tiers and worked benchmark, is documented on the methodology page. Price and founding data reflect what publishers publicly listed at the time of compilation; entries we could not verify are marked as estimates in the dataset.
Editorial independence and disclosure
Ranking is editorial. Paid placement is commercial and is always labelled as such. Buying a tier affects visual prominence only: it never changes a publication's description, jurisdiction, classification or Research Authority Score. The tier differences are set out in section 4 of our terms.
Disclosure: the publisher also operates Quartz Sea Research, an independent European aerospace and defense equity research desk, which is listed in this index. Where a publication is operated by the publisher, it is identified in its profile.
Submissions, corrections and contact
Anyone can suggest a publication, request a correction, or ask to be removed. Submissions are reviewed by hand; we decline listings that distribute fraudulent material, promote malicious software, or cannot be verified as an active publication.
