Maintains the index end to end: entry selection, classification, price verification, and the Research Authority scoring used for every ranking.
[email protected]Published by MGCB International. The index is compiled and maintained by the desk above; commercial placements never change a score, a description or a classification.
How entries are selected
A publication is indexed when it publishes its own financial research on a recurring basis, states who writes it, and is reachable at a public URL. We index both institutional desks and independent writers; what disqualifies an entry is not size but the absence of primary work. Repackaged headlines, pure affiliate pages, signal-selling with no published process, and abandoned publications are excluded. The index currently tracks 426 publications.
Every entry records the same fields: publication type, asset class, niche, price tiers, founding date, region and access model. Where a publisher does not list a price, the field says so rather than guessing, and estimates are marked with a leading tilde.
How rankings are set
Research Authority is scored 0–100 on five weighted components: primary-source rigour (35%), niche edge (25%), track record and vintage (15%), institutional adoption (15%) and transparency and independence (10%). The full rubric is at /methodology. Scores are assigned by the editorial desk and are not influenced by any commercial relationship.
Commerce, and what it cannot buy
The index is funded by optional paid placements: a verified badge, featured positioning, or category sponsorship. These affect visual prominence only. A paying publication cannot obtain a higher Research Authority Score, a rewritten description, a different classification, removal of a competitor, or inclusion in a ranked shortlist it has not earned. Where a placement appears, it is labelled.
One related disclosure: this directory is published by MGCB International, which also operates Quartz Sea Research, a publication indexed here. Quartz Sea holds the lead position only within its own lanes — European research, equity and company research, and analysis-type publications — and that relationship is disclosed on the pages where it appears.
Corrections and removals
Publications change prices, move platform, change names and cease publishing. When we find a stale entry we correct it rather than leave a dead recommendation in a ranked list, and where a widely repeated claim about a publication is out of date we say so on the page. If you are a publisher and something here is wrong, email the desk above with the URL and the correction; verified corrections are applied before the next rebuild. Publishers who want to be removed from the index are removed on request.
